Reflections

It seems to be the time of the year for reflecting. I have decided that even though we have had a tough year to reflect on only positive things. Doing this will remind me of how really blessed we are.

I lost my grandmother in December but was fortunate enough to have spent a lot of time with her throughout my entire life and to know her well.

We were able to give my daughter a lovely beach wedding on a tight budget, and have guests comment that it was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable events they had ever been to. There was even a wicked storm that day, 5 minutes after we all moved inside. How is that for lucky?

We found out my son had some sensitivities to foods that were causing him major health issues. If not for his wonderful nurse practitioner and her tenacity to figure out the puzzle that is Alex he would not be as healthy as he is today. He only missed one day of class this semester. Thank you Kayleen!

With the terrible economy my husbands business is still thriving, that is a good thing for us and all of his clients.

We were able to spend some quality time with many different family members this year too. Again having family and spending time with them is another huge blessing.

We have so much to be thankful for over the past year. I pray that 2011 will treat us as well if not better because there were some rough times last year that I'd like not to be repeated.

How about you do you have some positive reflections?

I hope everyone a happy and healthy New Year.
